Ginataang Daing with Malunggay Recipe

What will I cook for today’s meal? was the most question that came into my mind especially that I’m working from home and have much time to cook because of the Enhanced Community Quarantine Order to keep us safe from this deadly pandemic.

Social distancing, using a facemask, frequent handwashing, and healthy lifestyle and food are ways to keep us safe from the COVID-19 pandemic. Mentioning healthy food, what I have below is a menu that rich in nutrients, budget-friendly and easy to cook as well.

Daing (Dried Fish)
Malunggay (Moringa) Leaves
Gata (Coconut Milk or Coconut Powder)
Cooking Oil

Wash dried fish with water, set side. For big dried fish you may sliced it on your desired size. Disolve coconut powder into 1 to 2 cups of water. Set aside. Heat oil in a wok and saute the sliced onion and garlic. Add the coconut milk, bring to boil. Add dried fish and malunggay leaves (moringa). Season with pepper and salt. Bring to boil until dried fish is cooked.

Serve and have a happy meal!
