Stress is part of our life. Whether minor or major crises, it is up to us how to control and respond to them. When the stress becomes overwhelming, it makes us grumpy leading to affecting our daily life activities. That is why we must know how to manage stress. I have some effective stress relievers here and a buddy that can help bring back calmness and peace in our mind and body. Feel free to try one of these tips on taming stress, if your stress is getting out of control and you need a quick relief.
- Take a deep breath, be assertive instead of aggressive. Assert your feelings, opinions, or beliefs instead of becoming angry, defensive, or passive.
- Manage your time more effectively. Set limits appropriately and say NO to requests that create excessive stress in your daily life.
- Get active by doing any form of physical activity like jogging, going on a walk, swimming, biking, or house cleaning. Physical activities can pump up your feel-good endorphins and help irritations fade away.
- Listen to music or play musical instruments. This is one of my best stress relievers, it can provide a mental distraction and relax.
