Pancit Bihon Guisado

One of the most popular menus served by Filipinos during special occasion like birthday is Pancit Bihon Guisado. This dish is made of rice or flour noodles, meat and vegetables and is signifies as long life for Asian culture because of the long noodle strands. Every household including me have its own way of making this dish, depending on what kind of ingredients they want to add to make it delicious.
Actually, this dish is also perfect for everyday meal that is quick, easy to cook and affordable as well. Here’s a version of my Pancit Bihon Guisado

Ingredients
Soy sauce
Chicken and pork diced
Rice/flour noodles
Water
Vegetable oil
Onion and garlic sliced thinly
Carrots sliced thinly
Cabbage chopped
Salt and pepper
Calamansi
Aji Pork Savor to season

How to Cook
Saute garlic and onion in a large pot. Add the diced chicken and pork, sauté for at least 3 minutes then add water, let simmer for 20 minutes. Put the cabbage and carrots; add soy sauce, salt and Aji Pork Savor then mix well. After few minutes, remove all the ingredients except for the soup, set them aside. Add the bihon, mix well and cook until soup evaporates. Put back the ingredients that were set aside, mix will and simmer for fewer minutes. Slice the calamansi and spread the calamansi juice to the cooked pancit bihon guisado.

Serve and have a happy meal!
